Good Bye, Virus Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Flee for sure, but where to from this bug?
Witless we bow— hand shake, kiss, nor hug,
Corona's such a scare,
Clueless are caught to bear,
We, mighty and the small,
Way from a prayer hall,
To deep down hell like holes have we dug.

Many of us know how a German minister avoided a handshake with the Chancellor Angela Merkel. People all over the globe now shun handshake, hug or embrace. A kiss is no, no. We in India do well with a bow and namaskar or namaste— after meditation, dhyana or Zen, and Yoga another precious gift to the brotherhood at large. We all wish namaste and good bye to the Virus, but when? My hope is: soon enough. This too shall pass.
