How often already you've had to be told, Keep cold, young orchard. Good-bye and keep cold. Dread fifty above more than fifty below.....though there was good bye to all but there was concerning emotion to all, life is continue program by nature, none can say good bye this eternally, have to come back here....great philosophical poem
Frost is such a delightful weaver of words. His poems flow with magnificent description and imagery. " Good-bye, And Keep Cold" is a wonderful example of good poetry!
I am happy to have the opportunity this morning to read this poem by Robert Frost. A true simple creation, but of highest quality. Very fascinating the more you repeat the read. Congratulations to the family of the late poet. A true honour to read this winning piece Robert Frost does not need ratings, he IS immortal and famous worldwide. WHO does not know Robert Frost? Amazing nature poet.
I like His Words. But, It is differ from the actual Concept.....
Clearly the poet -farmer has planted the orchard; otherwise he wouldn't feel so close to it nor care for it as much as he does. It is unusual to say 'Goodbye and keep cold' to a group of trees, but it perfectly expresses Frost's interest in their survival. He does all he can to ensure this; the rest he states is up to God.
This is a well written poem. It is always wonderful to read these poems, because they are so simple but yet brilliant.
I wish I could promise to lie in the night And think of an orchard's arboreal plight...wonderfully crafted these two lines also where poetic promise made him concerns for the nature... So good bye but with the coming back wishing
