On this solitary noon, on my bed as I leisurely lie,
And through the window as I look at the azure sky,
I can see the split patches of white clouds trailing across,
And floating away...afar...to some unknown destinations.

This is a great poem, I like the contemplation aspect and vision.
'I like the contemplation and the vision' - thank you @Angelina Holmes for these words of inspiration. The comment is short but it means a lot to me.
This poem absorbed and charmed me. It shows you are not only a poet, but a caring soul who reflects on the lives of strangers.
Thanks for reading the poem and for leaving a kind appraisal here, @Susy Evelyne. Much inspired. I've read your poem - 'To A Sleeping Daughter' and left a comment there.
A stream of thoughts so wonderfully brought to life with such ease, of giving to strangers your good wishes on their journey and to wonder at their lives, is the soul of a true poet!
Oh, so nicely you have appreciated this humble effort of mine, that makes me so much inspired! Thank you, @Hazel Durham! I've read your poem - 'To Love And Live' and made a comment there.
@ Patricia Grantham, Thanks for sharing your childhood memories. Now I know that many of us have similar feelings as of mine.
You have made use of your holiday afternoon leisure to wander in the sky as an airport and the journey of life of our fellow beings reaching their last destination. Though it is painful it is inevitable. Description is thought provoking and philisophical. Nice poem.
'Description is thought provoking and philosophical. Nice poem.' - Thank you, @Rekha Mandagere, you have inspired me a lot by these kind words. I've just read your poem- 'My Prayer' and commented on it.

An interesting topic Khairul and great words. I to think of people, their thoughts, their lives. If only people knew just how interesting they were to observe. Many thanks
@Lyn Paul, Thanks for reading my poem. Sometimes I like to think about the persons and things that goes away from me.
This is a very good poem that brings back many memories of childhood days. I can't help but remember as a child when I would hear a rumbling noise and would immediately look up and see an airplane zooming through the skies. I would always begin to think and wonder where they are headed. They looked like little birds far up in the sky. I would always hope that it would reach the destination in which it was headed for. I still very much think the same way today. Good memories will last. A nice write.

@ Lorraine Colon, Thanks for the comment, you are the first to make on it and I am excited to find there is one who holds similar feelings like me. Yes, 'it's sort of a bond all people have with each other'.
What an invigorating landscape along with emotions attached with unknown people going away by air, road, sea or rail, You are such a wonderful craftsman, Khairul Ahsan. Thanks. I request them to carry my good wishes, wherever they go, I feel as if a piece of my heart has gone with them,
