this is a heartfelt poem, because i've seen the damage that can be done when that happens. i have a poem on line called 'a dad' which you may be able to relate to this. but you put good feelings into this write. very good

steve, i can see your hurt.it happens to allof us that we lose our dad and mom at one point of time.a good bye might look like a final parting, in physical sense.but in reality, the soul never dies.it takes another form.so youshould think your dad is some where, still loving you and taking care of you.i found it a loving poem, for your dad.thanks for sharing.
