We all need someone to blame, don't we? Is it God's fault, or the devil's that misfortune overwhelms us; that tragedy overcomes us; that life refuses to run smoothly. How ever hard we try, life refuses to be controlled. And yet ironically, it is its very mystery that enchants and provides the stuff of verse - like this one. Your poem is an articulate and concise appraisal of the paradox of good vs evil. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

At my age good and evil is as black and white. All in the same spectrum.

Again Sir James a fantastic view on good VS evil concept. We all have the power to create evil in our lives, it's in our entire DNA. God gave mankind free will, to conquer over evil through Him. When the world is one day a united body of believers, the world WILL see Good, they will see Christ in the flesh, and then, for them who are evil? ? ? ? I think we all know the ending to that story. God Bless, Linda

Good and Evil have no doubt been pondered over since man was earliest capable of rational and logical thought, I believe James, and your fine poem explores this paradox very well. Shakespeare himself pondered over this very question in many of his plays of man's inherent ability for both good and evil. Theologians and athiests alike have wondered why an omnipotent diety would permit the existence of evil in our world. I liked your fine poem which, though brief, offered some sound thoughs on this perplexing subject. Carl.

Did you write this before or after reading the book of Job?

A philosophical approach - will anyone on this earth (manmade hell) be able to answer? Evil prevails as it's guided by greed and hate - we have the freedom of choice, the devil is in us all. ....absolute power to judge is onlyi n G-D's handsl

would read more fluidly without the elipses imo James, but the questions you ponder in it are thoughts to be considered, I think we determine our own paths of enlightenment and perhaps the wars and wrong doing, is this process that god cannot intervene in, we have to grow to find salvation and peace. Smiling at you, Tai
