Good Advice Poem by jan hansen

Good Advice

A good advice

I bought, a for- the- old scooter, after some pressure from families and friends, and yes, also my stupid wish having seen the bike on the internet, where happy people were driving around in a sculptured park.
After hesitating for a few days, I took the bike for a drive on a Sunday forenoon when reality sunk in, The bike did a 10-kilometer full speed on a smooth road surface.
To save car drivers from exploding I drove on the pavement but as pavements are usually in a bad state
it was a bumpy ride, but I was able to overtake elderly people out with their snapping dogs.
In the park, I had a coffee in an outdoor cafe and with my back to the bike in the hope someone would steal it
No such luck!
It is not like I can't walk at all, I can walk a short distance
to the cafe or the shops, it is just sometimes, my feet hurt too much.
For now, the bike is parked in the garage, wisely I think
as I get older, I will need a slow-moving bike.
