Gone Is The Butterfly Poem by Dorsey Baker

Gone Is The Butterfly

No tenderizer for
the breast
is now a spotted tiger
and all its milk is gone
it leaps out
with fright
youthfulness
has now found
itself another home
stolen pleasures
have returned
unto themselves
back to the scene
of the crime
misery
and pain
has now
taken their place!
