Gone Poem by Doctor Dashaun Snipes

Gone

Rating: 5.0

In the dead of night, a whisper in the breeze,
Echoes of a love that once was mine, now at ease.
Gone are the days of laughter and light,
In the shadows of memory, you take flight.

Your absence a weight upon my soul,
Like a gaping void that swallows me whole.
Emptiness lingers in the spaces you left behind,
In the ruins of our love, where solace is hard to find.

The echo of your laughter still rings in my ears,
A melody of joy now drowned in tears.
The touch of your hand, a ghostly caress,
Fading into the mist of loneliness.

Gone are the dreams we wove together,
Now scattered like leaves in stormy weather.
The promises we made, now broken and frayed,
In the harsh light of reality, they slowly fade.

I search for you in the depths of the night,
In the stars that once shone so bright.
But you're nowhere to be found, just a fleeting dream,
A whisper of a memory, a silent scream.

Gone are the days of warmth and grace,
Replaced by a cold and empty space.
I chase your shadow in the corridors of my mind,
But you slip through my fingers, leaving me behind.

The world moves on, indifferent and cold,
While I remain trapped in a story untold.
A tale of love and loss, of joy and sorrow,
Of a bright tomorrow that fades into tomorrow.

Gone are the echoes of your laughter,
The gentle touch that I'm after.
I wander alone in a world so vast,
Haunted by the ghosts of the past.

But in the silence, a new truth is found,
In letting go, new strength is bound.
For though you're gone, a part of me remains,
In the lessons learned, in the scars and stains.

Gone are the tears that once flowed free,
In their place, a sense of calm and peace I see.
I release you now, into the great unknown,
For in letting go, my heart has grown.

So farewell, my love, wherever you may be,
In the vast expanse of eternity.
Gone but not forgotten, in my heart you'll stay,
A whisper in the wind, a light that won't fade away.

And as I stand on the shore of the endless sea,
I find solace in the truth that sets me free.
For in the cycle of life, in the dance of time,
Gone is not forever, just a step in the climb.

So I bid you adieu, with a gentle sigh,
In the vastness of the universe, we're just a fleeting sigh.
Gone but not lost, in the tapestry of fate,
A part of me that will forever wait.

In the silence of the night, in the depths of the dawn,
I'll cherish the memories of a love once drawn.
Gone but not vanished, in the fabric of the unknown,
A love eternal, a light that has grown.

So let the winds carry my words away,
A tribute to a love that couldn't stay.
Gone but not forgotten, in the echoes that remain,
A love eternal, in the heart's refrain.

And as I walk into the horizon's embrace,
I'll carry your memory, a sacred space.
Gone but not lost, in the universe's song,
A love eternal, forever strong.

So goodbye, my love, in the whispers of the wind,
A love eternal, that will never rescind.
Gone but not vanished, in the dance of the stars,
A love eternal, beyond all bars.

And as I fade into the shadows of the night,
I'll hold you close, in the fading light.
Gone but not forgotten, in the depths of the sea,
A love eternal, that will forever be.
