Oh. My. Word. This is such a heartfelt poem- -heartfelt by you and heartfelt by your readers. You used this turning month of September to good purpose here- - September has nearly come and gone .....Leaving me with only remnants; .......Remnants of your summer scent - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Now that is written so wonderfully that it sounds melodious, as if it could be the lyrics of a magnificent song like Autumn Leaves. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - And you are very very clever to repeat that word remnant in your closing line, it rounds this poem off perfectly.- - .....With nary a remnant of us ..................Left upon the shore. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - a ten and a spot on my list of favorite poems! ! ! ! !
