From your translation, Bharati, I gather you’ve chosen and presented to us a rich poem. I was taken with “the modern city’s lighted geometry” and kept reading. Thank you. I see there are yet more postings by you which I’ll look forward to. But I feel I need to sign off for now. -Glen

In the name development and expansion, trees are being cut mercilessly! It needs only a few hours to clear a tree but it needs several years for a sapling to grow into a tree! Once when it is in flower or fruit, it is suicidal to cut down a tree! Gulmohar tree in full blossom is a ravishing sight and when such beautiful trees are cut down, it is natural that a sensitive poet is touched with painful feelings!

I would be so sad and tragic to watch a beautiful flowering tree cut down. Those flowers are so pretty. This is the price city expansion we pay. So glad you translated the poem.

I could see the sad reflection of a little smile on the lips of flowers I was arranging them in my conscious and subconscious mind Out of attachment Like the thoughts capture you in the tragic end of a drama... a rranging in my conscious and unsconscious mind. thank u dear Bharati for your psychology and philosophy that comes up in this beautiful poem. tony
