Going To The River Poem by George Samuel

Going To The River

Going to the river, going to the stream,
Were you can swim,
Be careful, or you'll drown,
Know when it's up and when it's down,
Going into the water, where you're not known.

Going as a human, to swim like a fish,
Going from the shores, floating as you wish,
Going into the deep, to have a fresh wash,
Going really fast till there's a nice brush.

Going with a boat for a river tour,
Going to wherever the river is sure,
Going for a drink where it's pure,
Going to the other side of the shore,
Going far as your limps and joints can endure.

Going faster than the flow,
Navigating high and low,
Going where the current is slow,
Taking you away without a blow,
Going in and out just to find some glow.
