2 - It's a catchy-sounding 'write', but i also do not detect " death" in the poem; is goin' home a reference to it? The las word, insane, made me think of inane, ** .Life and people & poetry may all be silly, stupid, or both. ** inane adjective: " silly, stupid" bri ;)

1 - " Life's insane" Indeed some will think that at times. The Poet's Notes makes it sound to me as though poet Jack K. wrote the poem; i did not find he did; did he? The P. Notes does not explain. " Spiraling down a silo of despair and drunkenness in the wake of his On The Road/Dharma Bums celebrity as ‘king of the Beats’, Jack Kerouac longed for a safe haven." (cont.)
