Human leaders decided,
We are being derided,
By those people we class as fools,
Though very divided,
The thoughts they provided,
Meant they would bring in new rules.
Their idea was sound,
Yet very profound,
The masses they had to convince,
What they'd expound,
Was to try to confound,
Otherwise the people would wince.
Now out of control,
We'll make it our goal,
To insist the whole concept is broad,
Let's give them a soul,
A tablet or scroll,
Then tell them it came from a God.
If they were good,
Not too rude,
To a Heaven they would ascend,
You cannot delude,
Nor can you be lewd,
Or to a fire you'll descend.
If they didn't behave,
Their soul they'd waive,
That would leave a terrible smell,
You must never deprave,
Or on entering your grave,
You'll follow that road into Hell.
Initially they obeyed,
To their Gods they prayed,
But soon the commandments were forgotten,
They couldn't be swayed,
Soon no longer afraid,
Their behaviour was once again rotten.
After a while,
As was their style,
They reverted to the way they once were,
Their behaviour was vile,
Their Gods they defile,
It's from Humans,
‘' Gods Need To Beware ‘'

Aloha Bri Mar... Cheers and MERRY CHRISTMAS! quaint, and informative...What if God were one of US? .Would 'they' make a fuss? Hardly! They are too busy burying their dead! and burrowing to their tombs...Swayed, vile, and rotten... Humanity? As complex or in vanity? Too many questions... Thank you for posting. All of the best from this life, to you and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
