We choose our opportunities
To become strong, not weak.
By pulling up our bootstraps
We acquire the dreams we seek.

Our personal goals of well-being
Can never stand in the way.
Of doing our civic duty
No matter what others may say.

Devoutness can prove contagious
It's the brilliance of our kind.
What you find in most of us
Is true value of heart and mind.

By worthiness we must partake
For our days to be complete.
Our goodness of deeds magnifies life
No matter time's tests of defeat.

Some question why study history
Does our future depend on the past?
When we forget history, we repeat its mistakes
As the outcomes of all are cast.
