Goddess Of The Sea Poem by Samuel Richard Leonard

Goddess Of The Sea

O' weary waters of the deep,
I know the darkness of your sea;
it does so seem to call unto me,
beckoning for a promise to keep.

Treacherous waves cast up and down
rock and roll and run me aground
but to an Oath I made, I am bound,
no matter your depths I will not drown.

O' Goddess of the dark, show your light!
Crash upon my shores, wash away the blight.
Hold the rain in the sky with all your might,
raise me an island and I'll hold you tight.
