One poem is in dialogue with another. In Must I Not Write? he invokes beautiful things that command him to write. In this poem, after a festival of much prayer, he calls on himself to be unrepentant, to begin a new cycle of living. He rejects the thirst to neutralize all world-weariness with prayer.
