God You Took Grief Poem by Gary James Smith

God You Took Grief

God You Took Grief

God you took grief to a ten
When you gave your only begotten Son
To die for us lost and wretched sinners
You gave up your beloved One
When we finally come to the light
And see what darkness has done
Our heart's are smitten with our unworthiness
And at the holiness of Thy Son

You had to turn your back away
After you poured out your wrath on Him
But the greatest sacrifice that ever was made
Shall never have to be made again
For once for all! ...Hallelujah!
His shed blood was sufficient for sin
Now we can be reconciled to God
In Jesus name amen!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
