God Waited: Gave Adam Eve A Resurrection Poem by Terence George Craddock

God Waited: Gave Adam Eve A Resurrection

did God
never regret
waiting
watching
allowing
Adam
and Eve
to fall?

did God
never regret
punishing
Adam
and Eve
all offspring
with sentence
death?

Is God
in the forgiveness
or punishment
game?
Is God's
divine policy
no intervention
rational sane?

in the beginning
of sin in garden of Eden
God showed mercy
on Adam and Eve
instead of an eternity
of sin imperfection
God allowed age entry
death back into dust

a quick exit escape
from sin imperfection

death a sleep await in dust
until Christ arrives
then resurrection new life
through restoration Christ
in a willing sacrifice
of perfect flesh on a Cross
Christ defeats sin death
after a tomb sleep in a grave

then risen Christ death defeating is
empowered to resurrect humanity
