God, The Supreme Artist Poem by james watkin

God, The Supreme Artist

Rating: 5.0

Before your works, that total
The uneven days
Dukes jostle, as peasantry
At window displays.

Who are themselves on show
For the meaner man.
Brushed in with chariots
Castles and clan.

"This is smudged" who state
Denounce 'Rain'.
To reverse this sale were
From life to refrain!

Opinion is warmest
For that scene nursed
By dove-like breezes
Hatched for the first

Butterflies, by Spring.
That boy, therein
Splattered brown, does own
This critic's grin!

By a measure of passions
Enkindled by art
From even Goya He stands
A genius apart.
