God's Mark Poem by Cody Napier

God's Mark

What is an owl that hoots in the night?
Or a howling wolf that has the moon in sight?
It's like a switch flicked on with nature's might

An itch life gives you that makes your soul quiver
Striking down your spine pass your liver
When you feel it you can't help but shiver

Nothing will make you feel more alive
The present moment never felt more divine
And in that second everything feels fine

The frogs that bellow in the dark
And the birds who sing from bark
Are the signs that something bigger left its mark
