God Rested! Poem by Martin Greyford

I have created everything
That is visible and invisible on this
Earth and in Heaven above.
I created trees, birds, and all
Sorts of animals of land, sea, and air.
But that didn't satisfy me.

I said to my son Jesus
And the Holy Spirit
"Let us create man in our
Image and in our likeness"
And there we formed man
Out of the dust of the ground.

We gave him authority over
Everything that is on the earth
And that of the air.
And I rested after creating him
For I knew he would continue with my creation
Thus he managed to name everything on land and air.

I rested because he was created
In our image and likeness,
He carried our DNA with him
Thus having a God nature in him.
He was more like God on earth
Ruling everything on earth and I rested.
