God Is Mine 2 Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

God Is Mine 2

They race to claim Jesus Christ as their own
But how many sides can one man be on
Too late the seeds have already been sown
What will be has already come and gone

I'll fight you for this, I'll fight you for that
Does anyone know what they're fighting for
To rule over the proletariat
A battle for power and nothing more

The luckiest are those who fall early
Forever freed from the horror and pain
Bleeding out the earth is eternally
Regenerated by the the bodies slain

I can see him standing before me now
I feel his presence but yet know not how
