This was a sad poem to read. Your father was a good man and tried to perform a good deed but had to pay with his life. He will be remembered for his great actions and kind heart.

What a sad story you relate here. But yet, it's uplifting to know kindness still exists in us, when we take the time to care for the needs of a hungry dog. What an admirable act your father was performing!
