God Cannot But Be Poem by Gary James Smith

God Cannot But Be

Rating: 5.0

GOD CANNOT BUT BE

God cannot but be and always is
The God of Here I Am
For everywhere present is our God
The wonderful Creator of man
There's no escaping from His sight
For darkness to Him is as light
Where on His earth can you hide from Him
May you give that some thought tonight

Our sin is exposed to Him always.
To the depths of it's degree
With deceitful hearts and wickedness
We need Him so desperately
How long will the idols of self enthroned
Keep you from believing His Word
And that which separates you from God
Will finally be a reality heard

The pleasures of sin are but for a season
Is your season looking for a change
You're tired of living life on the edge
You know things should be rearranged
Well here I Am is still that God
Who would love to make you anew
Just call upon the Lord today
With the breath He has given you!

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
