God And Devil (Debate No.2) Poem by PREMKUMAR C N

God And Devil (Debate No.2)

Rating: 5.0

God and devil
Met again
For their debate
Who is more successful

God emphatically said,
'I have millions
Of worship centers
Around the globe

All best creations
Of mankind
By their best artisans
Are for me

Elegant churches
Beautiful temples
Of all religions
Belong to me

I always have
Billions of followers
Around the world
From all religions'

Devil replied
With a sarcastic smile,
'Yes you are right
My dear twin brother

All those beautiful
Constructions
Of humans are yours
With billions of followers

But those who control
Your worship centers
Are all mine
My staunch followers

They control everything
The mind and wealth
Of those billions
Of your followers

My men control
Everything you have
Because they are
Divinely devilish'

Brilliant poetic expression of absolute truth. I appreciate the simple way the honorable poet narrated the social truth about religion. God and devil as twin brothers is a novel idea. They are creations of man himself. Excellent poem with substance. Congratulations.

Very philosophical, very tongue in cheek.
