God And Death Poem by Sudipta Bhattacharyya

God And Death

From heavenly grace and splendor,
The universal kindness
Wraps the beautiful earth.
The tuneful voice is heard ,
Oh God! how merciful you are
To beautify your dear earth.
The charming Springtime atmosphere,
The humming inserts of diverse colour,
All are precious gifts of you.
Never do you brag for this,
Never do you show audacity for this.

But God, dear God! It appears to me now
That death is more powerful than you.
Your most beautiful creation, human beings
Are snatched away by Death so ruthlessly,
So mercilessly that even you will sudders.
All labours to make a Man, your preparation
To make this pleasant earth are shattered
To pieces in a fraction of second.
