As I was reading this piece of Robert Southey's sonnet, an English poet who lived during 1774-1843, I was wondering how the thoughts of a valentine were nurtured in the heart then, as against now! A marvelous poem that gets 10/10 from me.

In the era of this poet, the young man did not dare to speak to the young girl himself. He philosophized about her, but in the end he did not know her yet, and even not introduced yet to the girl. What a time! The poet's sonnet has proven that. Very nice sonnet, bit mysterious and exciting of course. CONGRATS as The Classic Poem Of The Day!
