As I was reading this piece of Robert Southey's sonnet, an English poet who lived during 1774-1843, I was wondering how the thoughts of a valentine were nurtured in the heart then, as against now! A marvelous poem that gets 10/10 from me.
Ans heave the sigh of memory and love. Marvelous conceptualization has made this poem marvelous and a pleasure to read.
In the era of this poet, the young man did not dare to speak to the young girl himself.He philosophized about her, but in the end he did not know her yet, and even not introduced yet to the girl.
