Go Tell Michelle Poem by Adams King

Go Tell Michelle

Rating: 3.8

It might be dark though, I know
There is a bright light in her
Though the waves ate unseen
I know in her lives an ocean

A feeling indescribable
From an untarnished heart
A love that conquers all
Faithful even to tempting times

Though the valley I might be
I know she has kept a home
A paradise above the clouds
Where limitless love lives and lies

Go tell Michelle I will wait for her
Distance won't break us apart
Tell her I dream of her when I sleep
And pray for her when I wake

I will wait till she's ready to love
Till she feels the time is ripe and due
To give me her sweetest fruit
And the precious heart of hers

I will ignore the tears we shed
I will ignore the disputes we've had
I will control the beat of my heart
To drum emotionally for her alone

Go tell Michelle thus heart is hers
And will forever be hers
Till time will count no more
Till my nose can't drag in breath

Go tell Michelle I see no end
Every day is but a beginning
This road of love will be endless
Till the chapters of life are closed
