I am walking by the theme of my life
I have love in abundance
which I share and treasure;
I have no hatred, hunger or greed
I have no enemies or untrue friends.
And if you have chosen to be my friend
I have with me your name
which on my heart I hold with pride
and which I shall cherish as wealth.
But if you have chosen to be my enemy
I will drag you by clutching your shoulder
and take you to a river of vengeance;
I will make you drink the water of hostility
until you drown yourself in it and step out
promising yourself you will never revert back
to detestation or repugnance.
I will even take you to the pond of wonder
and ask you to bathe yourself
in the beautifulness of nature
so that your own nature changes and you heal
from the inner hostility you nurture.
You are just that one coin in a fountain
whose wishes have not been granted,
if you feel you deserve the happiness you seek,
go atop the mountain of repentance,
find a tree of meditation there and sit,
pray and ask yourself -
will you ever get back the days you lost
will you ever get back the hearts you hurt
will you ever get back the peace you set afire.
In these answers you will feel a change;
then, come back and walk like me
with the theme of life which is so long and winding;
if you miss the turns and diversions
you will never be able to reach
the end of your journey without facing
decline of love and hardships.
So be gentle on yourself
and let gentleness follow you
along the routes you walk;
let the rest of the steps of life refrain from pain
which your mind imposes and forces
your tired feet to endure as they walk.
Remember life is so transient in time and zeal;
remember there is no second life to revert back
to those years of lost happiness, again;
so choose to walk with emptiness than hatred
for life once lived is all you get.
