Glory And Shame Poem by Charles Karia

Glory And Shame

Rating: 5.0

A man and a lady had a wedding,
But the never inquired of God,
So they quarrel all day long,
For they're good but incompatible,
It is God who gets all the blame
Because it started at the altar.

A righteous man with dull ears,
Starts a project which fails,
He did not inquire or listen,
He got not God's direction,
So he gets no divine help.
An he manifests pure shame.

The onlookers blame it on God;
He is an irresponsible father-
Who let's businesses fail,
Who let's nice church die,
And supports not weddings,
Solemnized at his very altar.

Instead of the grumbling,
You should really repent,
For all the shame and blame,
You have brought upon him.
Had you really heard his voice,
Your business would be OK.
Your church would be fine
Your marriage would be nice.

God has this sworn obligation;
To fully support what is born,
In the midst of his counsel.
So plead in tears for mercy,
Like the famed prodigal son,
Formercies new every morning.
