Global Warming Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Once upon a time
Planet Earth was enchanting to behold
Great forests lungs making oxygen
Seas and oceans teeming with life
Wildlife in abundance and not endangered.

Man emerged to walk the earth
Overbearing over all living things
Cutting down forests, building cities
Destroying other species
Pouring sewerage and plastics into the sea.


Nature fought back melting snow caps
Raging storms and flooding
Children crying out against global warming
Still without Governments actions
Countries pumping carbon into the atmosphere.
