Glittering Pebbles Poem by Dr Bedadyuti Sahoo

Glittering Pebbles

A mother asks to the pebbles
Lying on the Sea beach
Are you brighter than me?
Echo comes from the thrilling sea
Ask me not pebbles, because
I am the pebbles mother
They can't tell you better than me
Because, my struggle with
The mountains, air and rain
Have them glittered and fair
Seating that mother
Collected some pebbles
Comparing her brightness
Asking again for satisfaction
Am I not glittered better?
Pebbles replied her
Ask my mother not us
We are glittered
Because of our mother
Hey mother!
