Glaistig Poem by Petra Novakova

Glaistig

The Green Lady calls to my heart.
It is time to lay my head down
in the wilderness I close my eyes
forever to slumber in her arms.
I found peace in her cruelty and love.

The Deer King too plays his part.
It is him who carries her gown
in the forest of old where she lies
wide awake casting her charms.
I found harmony in her cruelty and love.

The Elder Tree always stands guard.
It is grim in its armor of brown
in the castle of boor under the skies
surrounded by a company of fauns.
I found serenity in her cruelty and love.
