Glad For The Rain Poem by Isadora Quagmire

Glad For The Rain

The sky opened up, a gentle sigh,
And oh, the rain began to fly!
A hush descends, a world renewed,
My heart with gratitude imbued.

The dusty leaves drink deep and slow,
from thirsty earth begins to glow.
A fresh, clean scent fills up the air,
Washing away each worry, care.

No more the parched and cracking ground,
Just lovely, liquid, a hopeful sound.
A pitter-patter on the pane,
I'm so incredibly glad for rain!

It fills the streams, it greens the land,
A blessing falling from God's hand.
So let it fall, let droplets gleam,
A happy, soft, refreshing dream.
