Your cold heart is like a glacier
Cruel and sharp; cutting
And, like the iceberg that wrecked the Titanic,
You shipwrecked our love most completely.
1600 souls on board perished that night,
But even one soul in agonising pain
Puts a cry into the atmosphere
That is keenly felt, somewhere.
It takes two to love,
While it only takes one to maroon,
To doom,
The love that was so carefully built by two.
Thanks so much Bernard, for reading & rating! Be blessed today! :)
Amazing comparison is done about cold heart with glacier. If heart is hurt or cut in cruelty this is so sad. The break off carries wound. Love is the lovely balm to heal mind. We hope love will manage everything. An interesting poem is very neatly penned. (Previous comment recycled)
When there is hurt this gives immense pain in life. Agony and pain unite to cry in nature. Carefully built love when goes down this provokes thought. But still there is hope and with dignity one person can revive love in life to rebuild trust. No cruelty can cut through its sharpness anymore. Love strengthens life. An amazing poem is very brilliantly and excellently drafted....10

Practicing Poetess, my ship has been marooned on the cold glacier of love many times. Very insightful yet painful poem. However, warm winds will fill those sails, the ice will melt and a new journey begins!
Many thanks, Captain Cur, for that promise of hope! (Warm winds; New journey.) Looking forward to that someday (and the sooner, the better!) :)
