POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have tried to translate this poem into Odia language from the Nobel award winning poetry book Gitanjali of Rabindranath Tagore.I will be thankful if readers and poets give their reviews on this translation.Thou hast made me endless, such is thy pleasure. This frail vessel thou emptiest again and again, and fillest it ever with fresh life. This little flute of a reed thou hast carried over hills and dales, and hast breathed through it melodies eternally new. At the immortal touch of thy hands my little heart loses its limits in joy and gives birth to utterance ineffable. Thy infinite gifts come to me only on these very small hands of mine. Ages pass, and still thou pourest, and still there is room to fill.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Geeta Radhakrishna Menon 18 April 2017

Dear Bharati, A valiant effort, indeed, to translate the verses of Rabindranath Tagore's masterpiece 'Geetanjali. I cannot read the Odia language, but through your translation, i get the feel of the lofty thoughts and the deep spirituality hidden the words of this genius addressed as Gurudev. in India. This little flute of a reed thou hast carried over hills and dales, and hast breathed through it melodies eternally new. A wonderful poem so beautifully translated by you. Keep it up. I shall look forward to read the rest of the series as well. Extremely happy to give you a full vote, Bharati. :)
