Girl On A Hill Poem by james watkin

Girl On A Hill

From what, withdrawing
Is then looked back on
In snug dwelling place, valley-hid
Of that high-sat one

Does its bond tighten
Or womb-like nourish?
Or stretch, if not strain for a birth
Larger world's to wish?
