We each bring a gift to the table of humankind but the imaginatively myopic seek to place a value to each, when, in reality, each gift is priceless in its own right. Three cheers for your 'gifted' daughter then! !

Gifted programs are so those students who actually are a bit smarter won't get so bored with the regular curriculum. It doesn't mean that the other students are dumb. But I do get the point with this poem. I could see where the other kids would perhaps feel inferior because they are so called 'not' gifted. Like your poem says, we are all gifted in many different ways. Sincerely, Connie Webb
