Gift Called Home Poem by Claire Ann Sansolis

Gift Called Home

5am barely slept since past 1am
Hosted your family for the longest in years
Now it's time to bring them back to the airport
You willingly woke up half awake
As you put on your clothes carefully
I heard no complains

Either you are generous or you are just loving
Specially to people important to you
I think that is a wonderful trait I loved
No wonder you are blessed,
Your boundaries are intact specially
For the people you love

Then I know why you were assigned to me
I am loyal as dog and longed for family
In the absence of my parents who is now with the Lord
In you I found a new family to belong to
God is so wise to gift us this so called home
Can't sleep until I wrote this gratefully in a poem
