The poem is excellent.10++ Actually, I read 'ghost poem' which is written by the poet 'Ronald Peat'. Frankly, both of them are perfect! ! Merna.

These wonderful poems serve to highlight your linguistic skill and diversity - the same subject viewed from totally different angles in contrasting styles, yet both have an impact - the first for its admirable figurative language, and the second for its history, questing honesty and underlying humour. I have to agree with M. Peat - the first poem is an absolute stunner. Simply and keenly observed, with perfect descriptive lines. This is a true 'ghost poem'...it is immortal. Poem 2 strikes a chord or two...the 'did I really see that? ' moments that haunt logical minds: -)

I'm not taking any blame for these poems at all.... Actually your rewrite on both poems is grand. And I still think the short one is a mind boggler that grips the heart. Kept in handkerchiefs is just too good. I want to have written that line. I even think it's better than my 'ghost poem' poem. It's a powerhouse of a poem for sure. Then the second one that deals with Ghosts from every direction is strong as well. You have done wonders from where they began with that conversation. You have weeded the garden and planted new flowers..Now they bloom on their own. Great poems. a poet friend RH Peat

Gosh, these are both wonderful. Love this in the first poem, 'Secrets wrapped in handkerchiefs Moths hovering like stranded memories They are the subconscious breaking the surface'. The words in the second poem are amazing, the them is so well continued by all your descriptions and embellishments. I admit to not much experience with ghosts that I know of. (and boy aren't I happy about that) . smiles, Patti
