Ghazal: Light Upon Light Poem by Mystic Qalandar

All around—only Light upon Light prevailed,
When time reclined, Eternal Beauty unveiled.

The eye of love beheld the secret of the One,
And all the veils of finitude silently failed.

Beyond all speech, that sea of radiance rose,
Each breath a gleam from the Infinite inhaled.

In the mirror of being, Your presence appeared,
Through every wave of night Your nearness sailed.

By Love's own oath, from annihilation I awoke,
Yet not from rapture has the soul derailed.

The heart unveiled that hidden art of grace,
Where lover and Beloved faintly trailed.

In my essence glows the One's own face—
All else dissolved as Light prevailed.
