GETTING SAVED MEANS CHANGE

Getting saved means change
Your heart has to yearn for God
To turn from sin to true repentance
And embrace the Christ of the Word
Conviction by the Holy Spirit
Your spirit knows there's a greater than it
It must surrender to the Saviour
Then for heaven, your soul will be fit

Getting saved means change
don't let anyone fool you
If there's no change there's no Salvation within
It's so easy to say..'I've trusted Jesus'
Then they continue onward in sin
When the Spirit indwells the heart of a believer
Sinful ways...they get pushed out
God does...a thorough house cleaning
That's what Salvation is all about

Now praise Him the Cross is our glory
We have believed and we're not the same
For if any man be in Christ
His life is definitely changed
Now it's no longer I who lives
But Christ... now living in me
I'm standing on His precious promises
And shall throughout eternity!

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
