Genesis Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Genesis

Genesis

Before life were the chaos,
Before the dream was an empty sky,
Before time, we were just an empty dream,

Just a note, without a composer,
A song without music
Floating in the dead space

Before anything was a proposal
Before everything was a concept

There were no beauty coming from the dark waters,
No tangible sense becoming a sky.

Everything was just a womb,
Inside a laboratory without a chemist.

Then God was the source of everything
He gave us this miracle,
He concieved a powerful Sun,
And a loving mother,
And gave us his blessings.

We became the children of mother earth,
Before we became a tribe,
Before the Holy Book was born,

Before the sky was just an imagination,
And love started a conception.
And everything was justa dream
