When the rain has rained
Down to its last drop
But the clouds still linger
Gathering more crystals of water
As if the world is still thirsty
Or the grief is still new
The clouds stand still
But abundant in their silence
Collecting, assembling
In the quietest way
The gift of crying.
The tender beauty of this poem is extremely moving and satisfying. It's just naturally felt, no explanation necessary, for great poetry is logic, denying but soul satisfying.
A beautiful poem! Appreciated the poet's expectations and anticipation reflected in these three lines: But the clouds still linger/Gathering more crystals of water/As if the world is still thirsty. Top score!
the beauty in this poem deserves the highest recognition of poetic skill and poetic heart
Let it pour to let go of all the grief suppressed in your heart n soul. Beautiful poem.
2) so brief in words, containing an ocean of emotions. Lively imagery that communicates with the reader easily. Metaphors par excellence. Truly Nosheenic. Amazing
"The gift of crying"… so very true. It is real gift to be able to cry away the pent up emotions… Like rain-clouds gather more unto themselves, grief adds to itself until we could rain them off…so we are able to smile again
