seeing the title of this poem, before reading it, i didn't know what to expect. but clearly, from the title, it enjoins us to hospitality. among the fears we might have of opening our hearts and doors is that what what we have to offer is too humble, too poor. in that this is an ekphrastic poem from the life of jesus, it resembles my poem " he sang." -glen
