Gashes Of Betrayal Poem by Diwakar Bhatt

Gashes Of Betrayal

Rating: 5.0

Confess I with all candor and mien of a man,
Heart skips its beat, love brings merciless pain.

Love for you makes my enduring soul cleaved,
But you too will be singed by the fire I believed.

Your love can be a disgrace or a bane too vicious,
Never could I imagine it to be a potion pernicious.

Betrayal is the meanest word I would use in agony,
When hacked pride has to bear with much ignominy.

Remorseful sighs can be the only vent to relief,
Or dolorous sobs to assuage the relentless grief.

Away from the haze of illusion I am in reality stark,
Tortured, tormented in deceitful love labyrinth dark.

Not love but falsehood of love I was enticed to suffer,
Cunning wiles of a woman are impossible to decipher.

Though your neglect tore my aching heart asunder,
But every bit of it will hum the tune of love tender.
