Is the green-eyed monster Iago's Beware of jealousy, my lord, it is the green-eyed monster etc.? If so there is more than a trace of marltal break-down in this poem. I'm not sure what's actually happening, some of this seems hallucinated to me. But I can't find a way into the poem tonight. I'll come back tomorrow. I just read Garcia Marquez died - what a heritage he leaves behind... But he and one of my favorite, NO, necessary poets were bitter enemies, namely, Octavio Paz. Paz's poetry is up there with Rilke, Neruda, Akhmatova, Yeats, Sachs
