The bulb in the brain lights up
You might need coffee or tea in a cup
To get the heart pumping more blood
To get those neurons to flood
Eureka! An idea is born
But your mind is torn
One mind says don't do
The other says do do you fool
You need a game plan
Do a game plan
A Game plan
Game plan
A poet may start with a title
Ideas flowing through a tight hole
Or from just a common word in the world
Do you rhyme or just have words reading weird?
What's your point of view?
Is it something totally new?
Something trite outright?
Or something slight out of sight?
The mental video plays in your mind
Your doubt and inhibitions left behind
The poem is already done by yourself
It has, in your mind, written itself
You have a game plan
You do a game plan
A game plan
Game plan
Absolutely, Deluke! Without a game plan, we are totally lost! Look what happens to so many people when they retire. And they die prematurely!
