The queen, king and rooks
Bishops, knights in the castle
Within each one's realm and level
Play the role, at Player's will
Attack, defend, check ‘n checkmate
Cut, block and even sacrifice
For saving the queen, at any cost
To the end, both, blacks and whites
All get eventually thrown in the box
Where they lie n lay together, as each falls

I love playing chess so particularly enjoyed this poem. I like the way it relates to real life. I'll be tempted to think of a wooden coffin the next time I put a piece back in its box.
