Galatians 5: 17: 'For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.' very good verse, in that it is so very true. I like how you used the metaphor of the fire and water, intriguing... could mean a lot of things, it's great! I somewhat understand it... and this part is so very true: 'Part of me wants to destroy the other; I want to eat my own flesh, yet drive away my belief.' I know how you feel.
